A DAY IN MALTA - POPEYE VILLAGE & MARSAXLOKK
I highly recommend visiting Popeye Village, one of Malta’s most unique and charming attractions.
It’s best to arrive as early as possible to fully enjoy everything the village has to offer.
Keep in mind that opening hours vary depending on the season (Low, Mid, or High) and tickets can be conveniently purchased online in advance.
Your ticket includes entrance to the original Popeye Film Set, a variety of animation shows, access to Popeye’s Comic Museum, and entry to the on-site cinema featuring a 15-minute documentary about the film set. You can also enjoy live silversmith demonstrations, a nine-hole mini-golf course, a scavenger hunt, as well as a free postcard and popcorn.
As you explore the village, you’ll encounter live actors bringing the Popeye world to life
- feel free to join in games with them or take photos at no extra cost.
The village itself is vibrant, colorful, and full of character, offering fun experiences for both children and adults alike.
Be sure not to miss the breathtaking views both from the entrance and within the village, they are truly unforgettable.
There is also an excellent souvenir shop where you can find a wide range of unique keepsakes.

Marsaxlokk is a charming and laid-back coastal village, famous for its colorful wooden boats and picturesque waterfront.
What to do there:

- Visit the Sunday fish market for fresh seafood and local handmade products
- Enjoy a meal at one of the waterfront restaurants serving freshly caught fish
- Capture stunning photos of the vibrant boats and scenic sea views
- Explore nearby spots such as St. Peter’s Pool, perfect for a refreshing swim
What to expect:
Picture crystal-clear blue waters, rows of brightly painted boats decorated with iconic eye symbols, warm honey-colored buildings, and a lively seaside promenade filled with cafés and market stalls. Marsaxlokk offers one of the most picturesque and authentic coastal experiences in Malta.
